  • A network that has been establish in a large city ( Metropolitan City ) like Internet connection, government project etc. Is knows as MAN ( Metropolitan Area Network ).
  • It can be based on Optical Fiber Cable or Frequency.
  • MAN may be operates by one organisation (a corporate with several offices in one city), or be share resources use by several organisations in the same city.
  • Data rates are moderate to high.
  • data transfer rate 34 to 150 M bits per second.
