The C programing language is a procedural and general- purpose language that rovides low-level access to System memory is knows as C programming language.

History

C language was develop in 1972 by Dennis Ritchie at bell laboratories of AT&T (American Telephone & Telegraph), located in the U.S.A. Dennis Ritchie is known as the founder of the c language. It was develop to overcome the problems of previous languages such as B, BCPL, Algol etc.

Install Dev C++ Software

1. Step

First you must download the Dev C++ on your Windows machine. Visit to Download Dev C++ Click here .

2. Step

There are packages for different OS.

3. Step

Under package Dev-C++ 5.0 (4.9.9.2) with Mingw/GCC 3.4.2 compiler and GDB 5.2.1 debugger (9.0 MB) Click on the link Download.

4. Step

 This package will download C++ .exe file for Windows

C++ download will start automatically

  • Click on save button to save. By default, it is saved in “Downloads” folder.
  • After the download completes, go to the save .exe file and click on it to Run.
  • The installer will ask you a language to select. Select “English” and click on “OK” button.

7. Step

Then screen for license agreement will appear. Click on “I agree” to proceed further.

8. Step

  • You can see different components of Dev C++ that will be install with this package.
  • Just click on “next” button.

9. Step

  • By default, the destination folder is in C drive. You are free to change this destination folder but make sure you have enough memory.
  • Click on “Install” button.

10. Step

The next screen, installation begins.

11. Step

Dev C++ is install successfully on your Windows. Select ” Run Dev C++” to run it and click on ” Finish” button.
